What can I say, there aren't that many films with an imdb rating of 8.4 (84,253 ratings)! This is one of the finest films ever made, and everyone involved was at the top of their game, from Director Carol Reed, to joseph Cotton to Alida Valli and a story and screenplay by Graham Greene! This also happens to be a very rare out of print Criterion 2 disk edition now going for hundreds of dollars on the used market. Don't miss this one.

This release is really intended for serious collectors who prefer untouched DVD's rather than ones that have been stripped or the video and audio reduced to .avi quality. If you are the sort that thinks that .avi video is acceptable, then this release is probably not for you. This is a complete retail disk that has been untouched, other than to be compressed to fit on a DVD5 disk, for those of you who are bandwidth challenged, or don't have DVD9 disks. If you would prefer the original DVD9 format I have released it in that version as well, search for it.
